Obstructive sleep apnoea is a chronic disorder in which intermittent and repeated upper-airway collapse during sleep leads to irregular breathing and repeated awakening at night. It is a serious condition since the resulting daytime sleepiness impairs judgement and increases the risk of accidents. There is also evidence that obstructive sleep apnoea increases the likelihood of high blood pressure, which in turn raises a person’s risk of heart attack or stroke1.
As a fully independent sleep disorder treatment specialist, LISA (Leading Independent Sleep Aide) works closely with health professionals and patients. Our care programme includes:
A broad range of comfortable, easy-to-use and reliable equipment for sleep therapy.
Packaged and individual services to support healthcare professionals in responding to and monitoring their patients’ therapeutic needs.
Linde Healthcare has been involved in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients affected by obstructive sleep apnoea and associated diseases for more than 20 years. Overall, LISA is intended to help ensure continuity of the care pathway, consistently high standards and a strong patient focus.
